Rehabilitation medicine is rapidly evolving in response to population ageing, the increasing burden of disability, technological advances, and changing global health priorities. This session will discuss the WHO Rehabilitation 2030 initiative, Universal Health Coverage, health system strengthening, emerging rehabilitation models, workforce development, rehabilitation in health emergencies, and practical opportunities to translate global priorities into clinical practice.

This ISPRM-organized session, part of the ECOSOC Youth Forum, convened experts including Dr. Matthew Bartels, Dr. Yolanda Pham, Dr. Yazan Al Ajlouni, Dr. Tara Chen, and interior design specialist Hans Galutera to discuss healthcare inequities affecting young people with disabilities within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
